Alright, I'll admit it, I absolutely detest home offices. More particularly, I hate the idea of clumping a computer monitor with a printer with a keyboard with a huge desk and an uncomfortable chair and stuffing it against a wall with bad lighting in a corner I absolutely positively never ever find myself in if I'm not making my way to the second bathroom in our house because the master bath is being used! There! I said it!
BUT
Because my partner finds himself spending a lot of time in front of a computer at home (and I too, occasionally) we had to "make it work" as Tim Gunn says.
And we did.
The solution: An environment in a high-traffic area with the essential tools and furnishings enough to make it clean, modern, and functional without the mess of equipment and cords. Natural light, and lots of it, is key along with peppering a hint of nature. And it if happens to be next to our bar and wine fridge, more power to us!
