A Desk Is A Desk Is A Desk.

First question: why am I blogging about "desks" at 7:15 on a Saturday morning? Turns out that my body is completely and utterly programmed to wake up this early EVERY morning regardless of what time I end up sleeping -- yet another "gift" of the 30's with which I wish I could find its receipt and regift.

Second question: why such a subject like that of something so "ordinary" that most of the time, the image of one very well could be the same image that everyone else has? Flat table top and four legs.

Desks.

You probably had one as a child given to you by your parents with the hope that you'd be that straight-A child EVERYONE wish they had. Or you've probably sat in one at school however uncomfortable and unappealing it looked. You've even shared one in college with 10 other sorority sisters because studying together meant "sistahs fo life!" Whatever the situation, we've all had desks.

Sometimes desks tend to be in its own category. What I mean is that sometimes, people don't even consider them furniture pieces but more like secondary thoughts.

Here are some great ideas, courtesy latimes.com, that make your secondary furniture piece as first rate as your plasma TV.
