Jason asked what I was doing for dinner last night. I hadn't thought that far in advance so early in the morning, it was only 10:38.
I replied: No big plans...why?
Without a second to spare, he had quickly extended an invitation to his place for dinner.
I replied, without a second to spare, with an emphatic Yes! It was more emphatic on my side of this wireless transmittal, I'm sure, than on his side, only because in the perfect RJ world, food is love.
"Food is love." We've heard this phrase millions upon millions of times over, perhaps more so that it could probably swell your stomach just thinking about it.
Alongside love, food is our common ground. If four complete strangers were forced to sit at the same dining table and told not to say a word, nor share a single moment of communication, tactile or subtle, then given each a full plate of delicious lasagna and sauteed vegetables, there's no doubt that these four lucky fools would share this common ground I speak of.
It's pretty simple really. It's primitive even. Food is love.
Thanks for the love Jason!
